Volunteer at Events

Good neighbors make great things happen.

Ever wondered how the Coronado Home Tour comes together? Or who's behind the cocoa at our Holiday Lights Bike Ride? Spoiler alert: It's your neighbors!

From our biggest annual events to smaller neighborhood get-togethers, so much of what makes Coronado special happens because people volunteer their time, talents, and energy to make it happen.

And there's always room for one more!

Whether you've got an hour to spare, love meeting new people, or just want an excuse to get out of the house and do something fun, we'd love your help.

No special skills required. No long-term commitment necessary. Just show up, pitch in, and enjoy a little Coronado camaraderie.

Where could you lend a hand?

There are all kinds of ways to volunteer throughout the year. Some opportunities take just an hour or two, while others offer a chance to get more involved.

Coronado Home Tour

Our biggest event of the year—and a neighborhood-wide team effort!

It takes a small army of neighbors to pull off the annual Coronado Home Tour. Volunteers help with everything from welcoming visitors and checking tickets to assisting homeowners, directing guests, setting up, and keeping the day running smoothly.

Whether you love historic houses, meeting new people, or simply being part of one of Coronado's favorite traditions, there's a volunteer role for you.

Food Truck Fridays

Good food, great neighbors, and a little help behind the scenes.

Food Truck Fridays are all about gathering, catching up, and enjoying a meal without having to cook. Volunteers might help with setup, cleanup, welcoming neighbors, or other small tasks that make these get-togethers possible.

Neighborhood Bike Rides & Socials

A little effort. A lot of neighborhood fun.

From our Halloween Bike Ride to the Holiday Lights Bike Ride + Cocoa Social, these events bring neighbors of all ages together. Volunteers can help with event setup, refreshments, welcoming participants, decorating, and cleanup.

And yes, volunteering at a cocoa social may involve quality control. Someone has to make sure it's delicious.

Monthly Neighborhood Cleanups

A little fresh air, a little elbow grease, and a cleaner Coronado!

Keeping Coronado looking its best is a team effort! Our monthly neighborhood cleanups bring neighbors together to pick up litter, spruce up shared spaces, and show a little love to the streets we call home.

Grab a neighbor, bring your can-do attitude, and join us for an hour or two of making a visible difference. It's a great way to get outside, meet new people, and give back to the neighborhood—one trash bag at a time!

Other Neighborhood Events

Because there's always another good idea around the corner.

Coronado is full of opportunities to bring people together! As new events and initiatives take shape, we often need neighbors to help with planning, preparation, setup, staffing, and more.

Have a talent or idea you'd like to share? We'd love to hear about it.

How does volunteering work?

It's easy! You don't have to join a committee or commit to an entire year of activities.

1. Find something that interests you.

Check out the volunteer opportunities below or sign up to hear when new ones become available.

2. Pick a role that fits your schedule.

Whether you can help for an hour, an afternoon, or a whole event, every bit makes a difference.

3. Show up and have fun!

We'll share the details you need beforehand. You'll get to meet some neighbors, contribute to something good, and probably have a pretty great time doing it.
