Join a Committee

The CNA is a volunteer-based organization. The Board is a dedicated group of neighbors who work hard to deliver quality events to the community. But we need YOUR help too.

Explore below the number of ways to be involved.

HOME TOUR
PLANNING Committee

Chair: Carissa Reppert

Home Tour—one of the CNA's biggest fundraising events—is a fantastic opportunity to meet neighbors and learn more about the historic nature of our neighborhood. The Home Tour Street Fair supports local artists and merchants. There are a number of ways to support the planning of this event, including securing vendors, coordinating volunteers, and social media outreach. If you are interested in supporting this event, reach out to us by clicking the button below.

Fun Committee

Chair: Clara Nicolini

WayneFest is a micro-festival held in Phoenix’s historic Coronado Park. It’s an annual celebration of music, food, and community, and all proceeds go towards the Coronado Neighborhood Association.

Volunteers work in short shifts of just a few hours—setup, serving beer, or cleanup and break-down—and enjoy the rest of the festival for free.

Miracle Mile Committee

Chair: Nick Barnhiser

Located at our Community Garden, the toolshed houses event supplies, yard tools and equipment, and a variety of power tools. CNA members are able to rent equipment for free or a low rental fee, depending on the item. Toolshed volunteers—referred to as Shedtenders —are responsible for assisting neighbors with the rental process. If you are interested in supporting the toolshed, please reach out:

Dispatch
Committee

Chair: Rebecca Brinkman

The Dispatch is Coronado's neighborhood magazine. Published 2-4 times a year, the magazine features stories about Coronado neighbors, businesses, Coronado's history, upcoming events and event recaps, and more. The CNA always welcomes article submissions and are looking to hear from you!

Note that articles should focus on family-friendly content and are reviewed by the Board and are not guaranteed inclusion.

If you have a topic you'd like to pitch or would like to write an article, reach out:

Community Garden Committee

Chair: Not Yet Appointed

Help us grow something new—literally!

We have a vision for a future Coronado community garden, and we're looking for neighbors to help figure out what it could become. Should we offer individual garden plots? Create a shared, volunteer-tended garden? Grow food for neighbors in need? Something entirely different? This new committee will explore the possibilities, work through the practical details, and help develop a plan for a garden that truly serves our community.

Whether you're an experienced gardener, a total beginner, or simply someone who loves the idea of creating a greener, more connected neighborhood, we'd love to have you at the table (or in the garden)!

Historic Preservation Committee

Chair: Not Yet Appointed

Help protect Coronado's past while shaping its future.

Coronado is full of history worth celebrating—from its distinctive architecture and historic homes to the stories of the people who helped shape our neighborhood. We're looking for neighbors interested in forming a Historic Preservation Committee to help protect and share that legacy.

This new committee could work with the City of Phoenix and State of Arizona historic preservation offices, connect homeowners with helpful information and resources, explore opportunities to expand Coronado's existing historic district boundaries, and find creative ways to celebrate our neighborhood's architectural and cultural heritage.

Love old houses, local history, architecture, or uncovering the stories behind the places we call home? You don't have to be a preservation expert—just someone who cares about keeping Coronado's history alive for generations to come. We'd love to hear from you!
