Apply for FundingHave an idea? Let's make it happen. From small improvements to ambitious neighborhood projects, the CNA Giving Program is here to help neighbors turn good ideas into something real. Before submitting a request, please review the following guidelines. |
Who Can Apply? | To receive Giving Program funding:
Greater Coronado is bounded by 7th Street to the west, 20th Street to the east, Thomas Road to the north, and Interstate 10 to the south. Not a member yet? |
What to Expect After Applying | In most cases, please submit your request at least 30 days before funding is needed, unless otherwise noted for a specific program. We aim to review requests and respond as quickly as possible, but expect around 7 days turnaround. Funding may be approved in full, in part, or not at all, depending on eligibility, available funds, and the nature of your request. The more detail you provide about your project, budget, and anticipated neighborhood impact, the better equipped we'll be to make a decision! |
Before You Spend | Please contact the CNA Treasurer to confirm funding availability before making any purchases or committing to expenses. Each program has a fixed annual allocation for the CNA fiscal year, which runs May 1 through April 30. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to program eligibility and any required approvals. Because budgets are limited, funding is not guaranteed simply because a project qualifies. |
Reimbursements & Payments | Most Giving Program funding is provided through reimbursement.Unless otherwise specified in the individual program guidelines:
Please allow time for the CNA's volunteer board and Treasurer to review documentation and process reimbursement checks. Some programs, such as East + South Coronado Programming, may allow alternative payment arrangements with prior CNA approval. |
Sharing Your Impact | Good ideas deserve to be shared. The Giving Program is supported by CNA fundraising efforts, neighborhood events, and the generosity of our community. When the CNA helps fund a project, we want neighbors to see what that investment made possible! Funding recipients are expected to provide reasonable documentation of their completed projects, which may include:
Documentation requirements will be proportionate to the size and nature of the project. The CNA may also invite recipients to share their stories through Dispatch magazine, our website, newsletters, or social media. By accepting funding, recipients agree to provide appropriate project documentation and permit the CNA to share submitted project materials for which the recipient has obtained necessary publicationpermissions. Applicants submitting photographs or testimonials for CNA publication must confirm they have the necessary permissions to share those materials. Participation in additional interviews or features may be requested but is not required. Your good idea might inspire someone else's! |
