Volunteer with the CNA

The CNA is a volunteered-based organization. The Board is a dedicated group of neighbors who work hard to deliver quality events to the community. But we need YOUR help too.

Explore below the number of ways to be involved.

HOME TOUR
PLANNING

Home Tour—one of the CNA's biggest fundraising events—is a fantastic opportunity to meet neighbors and learn more about the historic nature of our neighborhood. The Home Tour Street Fair supports local artists and merchants. There are a number of ways to support the planning of this event, including securing vendors, coordinating volunteers, and social media outreach If you are interested in supporting this event, complete the following form:

WayneFest Volunteering

WayneFest is a micro-festival held in Phoenix’s historic Coronado Park. It’s an annual celebration of music, food, and community, and all proceeds go towards the Coronado Neighborhood Association.

Volunteers work in short shifts of just a few hours—setup, serving beer, or cleanup and break-down—and enjoy the rest of the festival for free.

TOOL SHED
"SHEDTENDing"

Located at our Community Garden, the toolshed houses event supplies, yard tools and equipment, and a variety of power tools. CNA members are able to rent equipment for free or a low rental fee, depending on the item. Toolshed volunteers—referred to as Shedtenders —are responsible for assisting neighbors with the rental process. If you are interested in supporting the toolshed, please reach out:

Community Gardening

The Community Garden is located on the south side of Emerson Elementary School. Garden volunteers support the maintenance of the garden, monitor the crops, and harvest when applicable. If you are interested in supporting the Community Garden, please reach out:

Dispatch
Writing

The Dispatch is Coronado's neighborhood magazine. Published 2-4 times a year, the magazine features stories about Coronado neighbors, businesses, Coronado's history, upcoming events and event recaps, and more. The CNA always welcomes article submissions and are looking to hear from you!

Note that articles should focus on family-friendly content and are reviewed by the Board and are not guaranteed inclusion.

If you have a topic you'd like to pitch or would like to write an article, reach out:

CNA Giving Program

A wonderful thing about Coronado is the initiatives of our neighbors. While the CNA plans two large events and several small events over the course of the year, we are happy to support your event. The CNA dedicates a portion of our budget to the Giving Program, which supports events and initiatives planned by neighbors. To learn more about the Giving Program and how to apply for funds, visit
