CNA is asking for your help—not just to gather opinions, but to build a strong, data-driven case for improving bulk trash management, alley conditions, and neighborhood safety in Coronado.
Over the past year, many residents have experienced new challenges related to the City’s shift to a by-appointment bulk trash system, particularly in areas with alley access. We’ve heard concerns about illegal dumping, citations for trash residents didn’t place, and safety issues in alleys—but to advocate effectively, we need more than individual stories.
That’s where this survey comes in.
Take the survey
Why this survey is important
Your responses will help CNA:
- Document real impacts of the current bulk trash system
- Identify patterns across the neighborhood (not just isolated experiences)
- Understand tradeoffs, including flexibility vs. cleanliness and safety
- Assess interest and questions around alley pickup and gated alley options
What CNA will do with the results
CNA will compile and share the survey data with:
- City leadership, including Councilwoman Laura Pastor’s office, to support neighborhood-level advocacy
- Phoenix Public Works, who manage Bulk Trash pickup and the Gated Alleys program
- Phoenix CARES, who work with unhoused populations and help coordinate outreach and support
- Our neighborhood, so residents can see the full picture and understand next steps
The goal is not to push a single outcome, but to ensure City departments hear clear, community-wide feedback and understand how policies are playing out on the ground in Coronado.
A few important notes
- The survey takes about 5–7 minutes
- Responses are shared only in aggregate
- All perspectives matter—whether the current system works well for you or not
Your participation helps CNA move beyond anecdote and toward solutions that reflect the lived experience of our neighborhood.
Thank you for taking the time to share your voice and for being part of a thoughtful, engaged Coronado community.
With appreciation,
Coronado Neighborhood Association
